三、试题应注重考查单词在具体语言环境中的灵活运用

在编制试题时应该注意考查学生在具体语言环境中对词形变化的掌握情况，如名词的复数、动词的词尾变化等。请看以下几题：

1 .Iron is a （金属）

2.I （真正地）don’t know what to write about.

  1. .They stood there for an hour to （观看）the game.

  2. .Does the factory （污染）our water supply？

上面 4 题编制得如何？笔者认为这些题只注意考查了学生对单词的记忆能力而没有考查学生灵活运用知识的能力。试题这样编制没有充分发挥该题型的考查功能。我们不妨作一些改动：1.Iron and gold are both （金属）

2.I （真正的）don’t know what to write about .3 .They stood there for an hour （观看）the game .4 .Is our water supply （污染）by the factory？（答案 1 .metals. 2 .really. 3 .watching. 4 .polluted）通过以上的改动，我们能准确考查到学生的知识运用能力而不是死记硬背能力。

新单词拼写题是一个很好的题型，今后的高考实践中这种题型必定能日趋完善。
