复习每一课文时,必须引导学生重点掌握一定数量的贯用词组和句型。但是,不要孤立地复习那些词组和句型,而要把它们扩展归纳比较,使学生获得全面的理解和灵活运用。
- 动词句型的复习。如在初中课文复习到这样一个句子:Can youget someone to copy this letter of thanks?此句的动词句型是:to get sb.to dosth.就可引导学生复习高中课文学过的下面两种句型:to get(have)sth+ 过去分词;to get sb.(sth.)+现在分词,并要学生把上述那个句子加以转换。即:
Can you get someone to copy this letter of thanks?
Can you get this letter of thanks copied?
再要求学生区分下面两个不同意思的句子:
You had better get the TV repaired.
You had better not get the TV turning on all day.
上一句是:“你最好叫人把电视机修理一下。”下一句是:“你最好不要让电视机整天开着。”
又如在复习 to be made of,to be made from 的同时,要引导学生复习高中课文学过的有关动词句型 to consist of,to be formed of⋯
- 复合句和简单句的互相转换,训练学生运用不同的句式表达同一意思。例如:
- 定语从句改为分词短语或介词短语作定语:
The question that he asked is easy to answer.
The question asked by him is easy to answer.
The teacher who is wearing galsses teaches us English.
The teacher wearing (with) galsses teaches us English.
- 状语从句改为分词短语、介词短语、以动名词短语为介词宾语、不定式短语或独立主格结构作状语:
When he heard this,he couldn' t help laughing.
Hearing this,he couldn' t help laughing.
On hearing this, he couldnt help laughing.
He was too excited that he couldn' t say a work.
He was too excited to say anything.
When the meeting was over,we went home.
The meeting(being)over,we went home.
- 条件从句与祈使句、独立主格结构的互相转换:
If you use your head, you will find a way.
Use your head,then you will find a way.(祈使句)
If the weather is fine, we will start tomorrow.
Weather(being)fine,we will st art tomorrow.
- 直接引语与间接引语的互相转换。这一句型的转换对提高学生口笔语表达能力有很大的帮助。
″Don' t be late for school,boys and girls″said the teacher.
The teacher asked the boys and girls not to be late for school.
- 注意某些单词在肯定句与否定句型中的相互变化。
如 and 在否定句变为 or,already 变为 yet,both⋯and 变为 neither⋯ nor 或 either⋯or 等。
He has already finished his homework.
He has not finished his homework yet.
Both Li Ming and liu Ying can do the work.
Neither Li Ming nor liu Ying can do the work.
Either Li Ming or liu Ying can' t do the work.
