Why Do Things Around Us Have Different Colours?

Things like houses, trees and bridges have no light, but they can reflect the sunlight. When the reflected light projects into our eyes, we can see them.

When objects are illuminated by light they always absorb and

reflect part of the light. As different things absorb different colours and amount of light, they reflect these colours and amounts of light. The colour of the reflected light is the colour we see; the more the reflected light, the brighter it is; the less the reflected fight, the darker it is. Different things have different colours. Some are very bright and some are less bright.
